    Just received this message:

“Bravo with continuing to promote the idea of independent candidates. The root cause of our problems in Ottawa, not to mention elsewhere, is the dearth of quality M.Ps which results from people voting by rote for a party, thereby rendering irrelevant the qualifications and capacities of the individual candidates, thereby sending to Ottawa what Quebecers call “des poteaux”, (“posts” who are given no opportunity to express their views or to play any meaningful role in the legislative process).”

I was bitterly disappointed with the efforts I gave to Canadian Action Party — as were virtually all of the Toronto candidates who were detoured into the ditch by its leadership of past years. There is a new untested leader.

Toronto candidates who I have supported appear to be very interested in what an ‘independent candidacy’ can achieve.

    Keep me posted.
